Cheryl David is a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill, the University of Baltimore School of Law, and the prestigious Trial Lawyer’s College presided over by Gerry Spence. A former administrative judge, Cheryl is certified as an Estate Planning Law Specialist by the ABA accredited Estate Law Specialists Board, Inc. She is also a member of the Gate City Rotary, Greensboro Estate Planning Council, American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys, Medicaid Practice Systems, and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. In 2008, Cheryl received the honor of becoming a Fellow with the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys. In order to maintain this advanced expertise, Cheryl takes over 36 hours of continuing education in Estate Planning, Elder Law, and Taxation each year. Her professional capabilities, together with over 25 years in practice, have combined to bring positive change to the lives of over 4,500 clients and their families.
Blaire David McClanahan, Cheryl’s oldest child, is an estate planning attorney with the Law Offices of Cheryl David. She focuses her practice on helping individuals and families create and manage Guardianships and also Medicaid eligibility planning. She received her Juris Doctorate from Elon University School of Law in Greensboro, North Carolina in 2014. Prior to attending Elon, Blaire attended North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC. While at North Carolina State University, Blaire received her Bachelor of Science degree, with honors, in business administration with a concentration in entrepreneurship.
Blaire is a native of Greensboro, having attended Grimsley Senior High School (Go Whirlies!). While not at work Blaire enjoys skiing and traveling, but most of all, she enjoys spending time with her husband, George, and their two beloved dogs.
Justin Plummer is an Estate Planning, Probate, and Trust Administration Attorney with The Law Offices of Cheryl David. He focuses his practice on probating estates.
Justin earned two Bachelor of Science Degrees at Appalachian State University in Boone, N.C. where he double-majored in Pre-law and Psychology. He then received his Juris Doctorate from the Appalachian School of Law in Virginia where he received the CALI Book Award in State and Local Government Law. Before coming to the Law Offices of Cheryl David, Justin practiced in the areas of Real Property, Business and Estate Planning law in and around the areas of Charlotte and Greenville, N.C. Justin is a member of the Kappa Alpha Order Fraternity, is an A.F. & A.M. Freemason, and a member of the Gate City Rotary. Justin is also a member of the Greensboro Bar Association, Greensboro Estate Planning Council, North Carolina Bar Association, and The North Carolina Bar Association Section of Estate Planning and Fiduciary Law. He is also a member of the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys. While not at work, Justin enjoys attending and playing live music, watching the Carolina Panthers, and hanging out with his wife Jena, Pointer Holden and Beagle Benny.
Paula St. John — Office Manager and Paralegal
Paula St. John is the Office Manager and Senior Paralegal for Cheryl David. She has over 30 years of paralegal, administrative, legal and management experience and has worked with Cheryl David for over 20 years. She is responsible for managing the day to day operations of our office and managing workflow for our staff with an eye for detail. Paula has a Bachelor’s Degree in East Asian Studies from Colby College and a Master’s Degree in English from UNC-G. She lives in Brown Summit, NC with her husband Joe and son Jamie, along with their Springer Spaniel, Abby, who’s aspiring to be a “work dog” so that she can help out at the office.
Outside of the office, Paula volunteers for ESRA (English Springer Rescue). She also loves to read and watch an unhealthy amount of cop shows on TV (she currently has over 30 shows cued up in her DVR). She is addicted to Words with Friends and Cookie Jam games and loves spending time at the beach.
Casey Losinski — Paralegal
Casey Losinski is the final signing paralegal for our Trusts and Estate Planning Department. She assists clients with reviewing and understanding their estate plan before signing their documents. She also helps clients transfer title to their assets into their trusts and provides assistance with any follow-up needs. Casey has over 20 years of experience in the legal field. She is passionate about helping people in their time of need, professionally and personally. She earned her Associate’s Degree in paralegal studies from the University of Toledo, before returning to her hometown of Madison, NC, where she lives with her husband and daughter.
Outside of the office, you can find Casey gardening, cooking, baking, entertaining, and raising her own chickens.
Terri Busby — Paralegal
Terri Busby is a paralegal in our Estate Planning Department. Terri has over 20 years of legal experience and is dedicated to providing our clients with exceptional customer service. She is most passionate about helping people and strives every day to be a person that makes a difference. As a result of personal experiences, she has learned to become passionate about not taking anything for granted. She has been with our firm for over 14 years.
Terri is a native of Greensboro, North Carolina and still lives in Greensboro with her husband Jay and daughter Miranda, as well as their dogs, Harley and Salley. Outside of the office, you can find Terri volunteering at her church’s food pantry, where she helps to feed 30 families per week. She also enjoys playing handbells, and her favorite thing is camping at the beach with her family and friends.
Maria Vestal — Paralegal
Maria is a paralegal with the firm with over 12 years of experience in the legal field. She is most passionate about learning, both professionally and personally. Her biggest accomplishment is being the first person in her family to graduate from college. In college, Maria majored in both psychology and sociology, which helps her to better understand and help her clients.
She is originally from Massachusetts, but now she lives in Alamance County with her husband, Jeremy and two dogs, Dale and Gracie. Outside of the office, you can find Maria biking, hiking, and kayaking.
Asheley Hall — Legal Assistant
Asheley is a legal assistant in the probate department. Born in Fort Polk, Louisiana she moved to Reidsville/Greensboro at a young age. After attending Radford University with hopes to teach special education she returned to Greensboro where she was able to land what she describes as her dream job at the law offices. Asheley resides in Greensboro with her boyfriend Drew, and two puppies Bosco (whom she delivered at a friends home when his dog suddenly went into labor and she was the only one to remain calm) and Calie.
When she is not at work she can be found hiking, cuddling her dogs or taking them to the park, partaking in Taco Tuesday (her favorite day of the week) and spending time with her family.
Paula Enscore — Client Relations Coordinator
Paula Enscore is a Client Relations Coordinator with the firm. She brings with her several years of customer service experience both in the estate planning industry and in the arts. Paula received her B.A. in Spanish from University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She currently resides in Greensboro with her cats Otto and Porkchop.
Paula is a seeker of rare recipes, she is a master of artful Halloween costumes and a Christmas-Carol enthusiast. When she is not in the office she enjoys collecting certain children’s books, listening to NPR food podcasts, and expanding her collection of high-end lipstick.
